Even though his denazification process remained
incomplete, Franz Langoth was also active for the nationalist cause during
the Second Republic.
He retained contacts with leading NS officials and advised them on the
foundation of a new party. Langoth was appointed an honorary member of
the "Verband der Unabhängigen" (VdU - Association of Independents), which
offered vehement opposition to the denazification laws and distinguished
itself by playing down the nature of National Socialist ideology.
With his memoirs "Kampf um Österreich" (The Fight for Austria), published
in 1951, Langoth clearly showed that he was an incorrigible National Socialist.
